Green tips:
- Enable your computer’s energy saving settings unless it needs to be "always on" to perform unattended tasks.
- Power off your computer and other devices at night to save additional energy.
- Devices that are always on like speakers, some printers, VCR’s, etc can be put on a surge protector and turned off when not in use.
- Unplug AC/DC power blocks and battery chargers when not in use. Even the more efficient ones consume some energy while plugged in.
- A monitor in standy mode consumes less energy than one displaying a screen saver.
